I'm sure you've heard the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." I think that you can tell alot about people by the subject and medium they use. Personally, I like to use color pencil, oil pastels, acrylic paint, pen, and the old standby - pencil. The prefered mediums are paper - any type, canvas, and occasionally wood. Whenever I have the time, I'll whip something up...below, you'll find some of my work...click the pic to see it enlarged.
Great-Horned Owl : Color pencil One of my earlier works...saw this pic in one of my many raptor/nature books and decided to put it in color pencil form.   A profile shot of a Great-horned Owl.
art2.jpg (24934 bytes) A quick pencil sketch of Clyde, a Black Rhino.  He's the oldest Black Rhino in captivity. I'm sad to report that Clyde passed away last winter. :(
In Trouble... Uh...I was sitting around one day and started drawing and this is what I ended up drawing...heh.  Kinda sick and twisted.  Those of you who know me well, know that I'm just that way. :)
Blue and Gold Macaw A color pencil piece inspired by two "confused" Blue and Gold Macaws that I've worked with.  Unfortunately I no longer have this pic. I matted and framed it and gave it to a great friend of mine as a going away present, 'cause she loved one of the above mentioned macaws.
